365 – New Music Daily

Kenny Beats first solo LP Louie flows beautifully. There are honestly not many words that an articulate the quality of this album. It’s undeniably and objectively great. The vibe of the album is mostly flowing through smooth instrumentals, with a spare feature here and there (loved JPEGMAFIA’s on Still), along with many vocal chops that reminded me of a nice Dilla beat on one of his releases. Kenny delivers here and there are so many things that could be rapped on here, I hope (to a certain extent, as these instrumentals are more than good enough to stand alone) that there is maybe a Louie redux in the future with some different rappers on every track. Good shit Kenny!
