A$AP Rocky – At Long Last ASAP

A relisten in my quest – more than 5 years ago. At Long Last ASAP is an essential album in the grand scheme of rap, and will never be replicated. God damn is it good, and you can really hear the influence of Rocky in so many different artists today. There are NY Rap cuts, Psychedelic rap cuts, and then some of the better beats that you will hear in modern rap songs. ASAP has such a distinct style it’s hard to represent in words. All this to say, it stands the test of time and probably will for a long time.

Also, it is crazy that Rocky found Joe Fox on the streets of London. He is so essential to the album and his hooks/contributions are so, so good.

Favorite tracks (on relisten): Holy Ghost, Canal St., JD, LPFJD2, Jukebox Joints, Max B, Pharsyde, Wavybone, Better Things, Everyday.
