Yes this is an EP. Get on me about it. You listen to 120 albums in 4 months motherfucker. Plus, an EP of a certain length is more or less an album. We can get into this debate if you want to. I have people that can back me. I can continue yelling into the void about this all I please, as well, so I hope you enjoy this review. If you don’t, every single one will start like this.
Playing w/ fire is the newest release from one of the up and comers in the rap game that isn’t doing whatever the fuck Yeat is doing, or anyone else trying to follow the mediocre synth wave that Carti has left behind. However, this one was a bit underwhelming for me, especially compared to his debut album PG Baby. It certainly showcases one of the most impressive things about Redveil – his production skills – but a lot of the songs don’t really work for me and come off a bit unpolished. Not great overall. Again though, nothing has come close to being as bad as Black Flag.
