365 – New Music Daily

A re listen to an amazing punk/rock album from one of the strangest but best bands currently out. If you do not know the V boys, they are a Swedish band that got an initial pop from their Cake like song ‘Sports’ which contains some of the better lines you’ll hear, including:

Baseball
Basketball
Weiner dog
Short shorts
Cigarette
Surf board
Ping pong
Rugby ball
Wiener dog

Street Worms, their debut album, is maybe most known for this song, but is instead an album with fantastic lead guitar, incredible driving drums, great melodies from synths and horns, and one of my favorite vocalists. Plus how can you not love an album where two of the best songs are Shrimp Stack and Frogstrap. If you want fantastic driving rock with lines like:

I gave your dog
A little snack
I met your mom
Down at the Shrimp Shack

I seriously fucking adore the Viagra Boys. Their shows definitely smell. They probably do too. But so do I. They’re fucking great. Everyone should listen to Street Worms.
