The End of Comedy – Drugdealer

In comparison to the other Drugdealer album(s? I can’t remember if I’ve reviewed one or more than one, alas), The End of Comedy is a much more melancholy release with sounds that are much more towards the alternative Indie Rock that has launched some artists into the mainstream. While I still appreciate certain songs on this record, I do find that his releases get more original, ambitious, and filled with fantastic instrumentation and solos much more than this release. Overall, a nice album with some high points but certainly favor his most recent release.

  1. Wow—this guy is channeling George Harrison, from the very first chord, and specifically George’s work on “All Things Must Pass”. Mellow, pleasant sound. ________________________________
