To me, Jazz is like a David Lynch movie or a piece in the Louvre that I just can’t understand. And honestly I don’t really care to. I’d rather just listen to Chief Keef or try to integrate Shrek.

I think that Miles, this particular album at least, has the ability to play for “all the lovers in the house” with its slow, deliberate sound. I am not a fan of later-Miles, when it becomes sort of fusion-y and a bit frenetic…but this works…to slow down the pulse.
