  • I don’t have as much detail on the making as this one, which you can attribute to Dave Grohl’s description of Foo Fighters being much more detailed (and also pertinent) in his book. I think so far, this album is solidified as #2. The album feels like it has much more mainstream rock qualities in

  • Dave Grohl’s self titled solo debut – only about a year removed from the passing of Kurt Cobain and the ensuing break-up of Nirvana – was recorded sequentially over the span of 6 days in a recording studio near his home.  Even more impressive, he played all of the fucking instruments himself (sans one guitar

  • Great jazzy, funky tunes from a relatively unknown band, at least to me. Highly recommend checking them out if parliament type music is what you fancy. Also some fantastic instrumentalization (a word) in the form of some harmonic backings or straight out solos. Can get a bit 80s at times, especially for a 90s album.

  • To me, Bronson is much more of a hilarious dude than a rapper I can seriously listen to… not to compare him to someone that is clearly a joke (Lil B, for example) or someone that is bad (I could say Lil B for example again), but I moreso cannot compartmentalize fuck that’s delicious and

This one feels a little more generic

  •  A haven for all those looking for some great grooves, incredible vocals, songwriting, all mixed together in two forms; some extravagant, out of the box booming multi- instrumental breaks accompanied by great vocals, and also incredibly mellow, smooth, beautiful Rhodes Melodies. Haitus Kaiyote is one of the better bands out there and this is a

  • Not as good as the other Yellowman, but some great songs from one of the reggae greats. Again, John Denver cover! Favorite songs: Mi Believe/Summer Holiday, Wha Dat, Moving On/Keep On Moving

  • A two in one review here – albeit a brief one – as the first Sonder album here is 11 minutes long and a glorified EP. I really don’t have much to say – just that if you want to listen to Brent Faiyaz, the stuff under his stage name is much better than that

  • Children of Zeus – a hidden gem that I’m now fully discovering the talents of – delivers with Travel Light. I first heard of them after stumbling upon the song Hard Work (video linked below) – fat bassline, beautiful keys, and member Tyler Daley (who carries the duo in my opinion) showcasing his lovely voice
