It’s hard to imagine anything will ever top the listening experience Are You Experienced provided (The Wind Cries Mary is one of the best songs of all time!), however Axis: Bold as Love provided a great contender in the Hendrix discography. Subdued guitar songs managed to be my favorite, such as Castles Made of Sand and Little Wing. The percussion remains an understated (in my personal view) facet of Hendrix’s music that makes it even that much more enjoyable. An incredible album that is putting Jimi higher in my personal list. Favorite songs: Little Wing, Castles Made of Sand, You Got Me Floatin’, Up From the Skies, One Rainy Wish, Bold as Love. Jimi is ridiculous.
