365 – New Music Daily

I am a sucker for house loops. Especially ones with some funky grooves. Toro y Moi – or Chaz Bear – is certainly one of the best house artists out right now. Biggest problem with this album for me is the songs that aren’t house, and some of his songwriting lacks in places. Nonetheless, he is one of the best house artists out there and a super talented musician. Worth a look if you’re into that.

Also note – since I will never review the album because it doesn’t meet the criteria (although maybe that will change one day) – What For? is a great psych-rocky album that has an amazing live performance to go with it, linked below.
