Jinx – Crumb

Crumb has popped up on many a song radio (one of the best features on Spotify, let it be known!), figured I would give their record a spin. It ended up being, to me, an attempt at being Beach House in a less dream-poppy, more psych-rocky/indie (whatever indie means) way. Pretty lackluster, and vocals were uninspiring in a lot of places. Not horrible, but not great by any means.

Even while this album was really not great (considered bailing a few times), it really goes to show just how bad that Black Flag album was. I mean, nothing has come close. Birds in the Trap is probably second worse thus far, but even that still has some shit to it. It’s only April (if you’re keeping track, which you’re not, so FYI, we’re 111 albums into this) but I can’t imagine that anything will be worse than that Black Flag. And I honestly went into that one thinking hey, maybe this will be a cool way to expand my punk knowledge. Tangent over.
