Electric Warrior – T.Rex

Can you tell what music I’ve been into lately?

Thank you to my uncle for putting me on to this album from British artist T.Rex, lead by the talented but tragically short-lived Marc Bolan (who died at 30 in a car crash). To me, albeit this is my second listen, the album is everything that I wanted my listen to Velvet Underground to be. It feels trendsetting in terms of some of the major themes in Indie Rock that have come to the mainstream of indie music lately (I know this is a giant hyperbole, but it makes sense, iykyk). Mambo Sun sets the tone of this album and it doesn’t have any bad runs throughout. This album may have no skips and is highly recommended.

Favorite songs: All except for the interview.

One response to “Electric Warrior – T.Rex”

  1. It was Chef Phil Howard who got me into T. Rex and some of that sound. It is really sad that Marc died so young as it appears he had a very promising future. ________________________________
