Modal Soul – Nujabes

A Khraungbin – Lo-Fi Girl – Jazz – Underground Hip-Hop fusion-hybrid, Modal Soul is a great, mellow listen from the Japanese DJ who tragically died in a car crash in his late 30’s. I really think this is sort of a music speaks for itself situation – or maybe I am just tired – probably both – but you’ll know if you dig this or not. Regardless, it’s good music, especially for chilled out hip-hop people (which I do not think any of my normal readers are? I think I have all 6-7 of you sussed out. Too bad mothafuckas. Expand your horizons. HIP HOP HIP HOP!).

Favorite songs: Feather, Luv(sic.) pt. 3, Eclipse, Modal Soul, sea of cloud, Light of the Land, Horizon

  1. Well, I will always take the challenge to have my horizons expanded, so challenge on “mutha uckas” (sorry, a little Flight of the Conchords reference)…

    I will admit that I’m not entirely sure I understand this (har): A Khraungbin – Lo-Fi Girl – Jazz – Underground Hip-Hop fusion-hybrid
