Purple Rain – Prince

PUUURPLE RAIN, puuurple rain. I’m coming back with classics, I guess. This one is short and to the point. In fact, let’s do bullets.

  • Prince is a fucking incredible guitarist. I have been playing guitar for like a month now and it’s greatly enhanced my appreciation of amazing guitar playing. You don’t need to do that to appreciate this though. He is amazing.
  • Prince is a fucking weirdo. This album has some good songs that are also filled with such strange things. Listen to the intro to Computer Blue. What’s going on there? Actually, though there are songs I like more than that one, Computer Blue is below because it embodies not only how strange he is, but how fucking good he is too.
  • This album is really solid, and Prince might be one of the best artists of all time to be superfan of. Check out his Spotify. So many fucking albums.

    I slept on the Prince train while he was coming-up—because he seems like such a “weirdo” to me, that I didn’t know how to appreciate his genuis. No-one shreds like him—I mean, okay, Jimi, but really, who else?
